The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will use an in-depth and hands-on knowledge of enterprise data systems, software technology and report authoring to perform enterprise-scale data analysis and reporting across core Firm software systems. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the design, development, implementation and support of reports, dashboards and ad-hoc data analysis using the Microsoft SQL Server technology stack.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, build and implement reports, dashboards, ETLs, cubes and business intelligence solutions using
- SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
- Develop, test, and deploy ETLs, SQL stored procedures and MDX/DAX queries to solve complex data analysis problems based on requirements from different teams
- Design and implement reports and dashboards using Reporting tools such as Excel, PowerPivot, SQL Reporting Services, Power BI, Tableau etc.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive business process knowledge of internal functional groups including Finance, eDiscovery, Records, Payroll, HR and Information Technology
- Collaborate with Applications, Infrastructure, and DBA teams as well as business owners to design and build enterprise-scalable analysis platform and reports
- Conduct proactive end-to-end monitoring of reporting platforms, identify business application opportunities for improvement and streamline operational processes
- Troubleshoot and address technical issues with reports and source systems
- Act as liaison to external vendors in conducting case management
- Review and advise toward market developments, including upgrades, available features and functionality and new applications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related area
- 5 -7 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Application Developer or Software Engineer in executing various facets of the systems development life cycle
- 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience in the design and development of business intelligence solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, SSAS and SSRS
- 3 years of hands-on database development experience in T-SQL, MDX, DAX and ETL platforms
- Strong familiarity with the Microsoft technology suite, OLAP cubes, relational database management systems and enterprise application integration is required
- Strong quantitative skills, ability to analyze complex, multi-faceted problems, credentials in Accounting, Finance, or Economics a plus
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills including creative problem solving, effective written and verbal communications, planned and organized coordination of cross-functional teams, acute attention to detail and quality, and driven with the ability to self-manage
- Successful track record in applying technology to serve business functions
- Set priorities and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
